Christine Gan, a distinguished piano teacher with decades of experience, specializes in preparing students for college auditions, prestigious competitions, and high-level orchestral performances. Her commitment to musical excellence and personalized teaching approach have led to numerous student successes,showcasing her exceptional expertise and mastery as a pedagogue, and her passion for teaching has brought her to many different institutions.

 

Christine first worked as a Music Co-ordinator and Teacher at Taylor's College Sydney before working at Raffles Junior College.

 

Christine's expertise is evidenced by her students' extraordinary global success. Her pupils have gained admission to prestigious institutions, including the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Berkeley College of Music, Longy School of Music of Bard College (with scholarship), and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (University of Arts Singapore).

Christine's commitment to musical development extends to numerous leadership and peer roles: Jury Member and Co-Organiser for the Ars Nova International Piano Competition and Festival 2025, Co-Founder of the Virtù d'Arte International Piano Competition and Festival 2026, Faculty Member of the 2026 Piano Concerto Academy in Toulouse, France, and Jury Member for the ENKOR Piano Competition since 2015.

Christine Gan earned a double degree in Performance and Business Administration from Monash University, followed by a Master's Degree from Sydney University. ​​Many of Christine Gan's students have gone on to achieve success in music. Gan continues to promote accessibility in music by facilitating opportunities for her students to play with orchestras, as well as perform solo recitals on international stages such as Carnegie Hall, Esplanande Recital Studio, the Mozarteum Concert Hall, Musikverein Hall, and others.
